Craig Caldwell grew up in godly home in northern Maine and was saved at a young age. His rural upbringing taught him hard work and discipline. While studying for the pastorate, he partnered with a local pastor named Jerry Lucas to plant a church near Pensacola, Florida called Cross & Crown Baptist Church. Craig married Pastor Lucas’ oldest daughter, Kim, and after 18 years of ministry in Florida, God called Pastor Craig to plant this church in Clarksville, Tennessee in 2003. Pastor Craig and Kim have two boys which happily serve together with him as the Senior Pastor.

Nathan Weidman was saved as a young boy at age 5. Having grown up in independent Baptist churches all his life, Nathan has seen many aspects of local church ministry. In 2002, after completing his associates degree in computer information systems, Nathan began preparing for the pastorate after being continually burdened by the lost souls he met on weekly soul-winning while at college. Nathan married his high school sweetheart, Holly, and took the pulpit of a small rural church in New York for three years before moving to Clarksville to assume the responsibilities of assistant pastor at Cross & Crown Baptist Church in 2009.
Jerry E. Lucas

Pastor Lucas left a successful job as an electrical engineer to become a church-planting pastor later on in life. After preparing for the work of ministry, God put it on his heart to plant a church near Pensacola, Florida. In 2003, Pastor Lucas left to assist Pastor Craig in the establishment of a new church in Clarksville, Tennessee. Jerry and his wife, Myra, have been serving the Lord together for over 35 years. Jerry is the Pastor Emeritus of Cross & Crown Baptist Church and serves the church as director of our outreach and Senior Saints programs.
